We have a number of recent projects in design, under construction and recently completed where our client’s desire something extraordinary for their swimming pool lighting. Advancements in lighting technology accommodates the design trend toward programmable and color adjustable in wall niche lighting as well as in-floor and in-wall fiber optic “star lit sky” effect lighting. The fiber optic LED light engines are capable of multiple colors and programmable scene settings for any occasion. On the project shown here we utilized Pentair LED niche lights and Light Streams Fiberstars Light fixtures in the pool and walls and fiberoptic lighting in the pool floor and walls with 75 individual points of light generated from the fiberoptic leads.
The fiberoptic light engines are programmed to work in sync to change color with the niche lighting. We also utilized low wall lights in the adjacent seat wall and planting areas for lighting the pathways around the pool. The homeowner can adjust pool lighting color and light intensity in real time with their smart phone utilizing an app. The balance of landscape lighting is tied into the homes Vantage lighting system for ultimate flexibility of switching and dimming via smart phone app. Photos: by Benny Villarreal Photography
