The owners of the property came to KKDG with a well defined program for their growing family. The first request was to have a zero-edge pool inspired by their favorite tropical resort, that would be the focus of their outdoor living space. The zero-edge pool is flanked on two sides by a domestic hardwood deck, complete with large, rotating umbrellas that provide shade whenever needed. Opposite the deck is an infinity edge to the pool that is not only dramatic from above, but also impactful when viewed from the lawn area below. A trampoline, play structures, basketball hoop, and ample lawn provide the kids plenty of options for outdoor play, while the adults can settle on the expansive deck around the fire pit and hidden TV that emerges from within a seat wall at the push of a button. When the family works up an appetite from a day of swimming and fun, the large, gourmet kitchen provides everything needed for the preparation of full meals. A shaded glass roof over the kitchen and motorized vertical shades, ensure the cook remains comfortable no matter what time of day meals are being prepared.
